The Auburndale Communications Academy allows students to explore areas in cable and home entertainment system installations. Classes feature hands on learning and NCTI coursework. The program leads to Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) certifications as a Broadband Premises Installer (BPI) and Broadband Distribution Specialist (BDS).

Students who graduate from the program with a 3.0 gpa in the communications academy courses can lead to college credit hours at Polk State College.
