Adarius Enzor

Adarius Enzor

Adarius Enzor has been a student at the Central Florida Aerospace Academy since its inception in 2008. He is currently a senior at the academy. Adarius proudly states, "I love the school and it has helped me grow in life and as a person." As a student at CFAA and of Kathleen High School, Adarius has been an active participant in high school activities such as the drama club, Ovation, and the recycling club; Kathleen Senior Green Devils, as well as serving as president for both. This past summer Adarius traveled to Australia with People to People, a student ambassador program. Flying is one of Adarius' great passions. He has been an active participant and the president of Future Eagles, a club operated by the Florida Air Museum at Sun 'n Fun. Once he finishes high school, Adarius plans on attending Embry Riddle University and obtain his pilot's license which he has already started on.

Save these dates and plan to join us for two fun filled days of team building, social networking, goal setting, and confidence boosting experiences that will introduce you to student life and the beginning of your successful "flight plan" through your four years at CFAA.

CFAA and our partners from Sun 'n Fun will be introducing you to the campus, staff, opportunities, and expectations you will encounter during your years at one of the most unique educational facilities found in Florida. Each incoming freshman that participates in this special event will have the occasion to establish and build key relationships among their peers and staff that will enrich and make for a smooth transition into their high school experience. They will also receive critical information that will enable them to fast track a successful launch of their academic journey through CFAA.

Student Orientation

5:00pm to 7:00pm
CFAA Cafeteria

Students will pick up their schedules in the Cafeteria, followed by a brief, informative meeting. Following the meeting students we be able to visit their classrooms and teachers.

CFAA Overview

The Central Florida Aerospace Academy exists to provide a meaningful and content rich education that will inspire and motivate students at all levels. Students are challenged to reach high levels of achievement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in preparation for high-tech careers in the fields of aviation and aerospace.

The academy will respond to the needs of industry by placing emphasis on teamwork, individual achievement, skill development, creativity, and innovation, as well as critical thinking. As students are prepared to be productive and responsible members of the workforce, the academy will instill in them an appreciation for professionalism, ethical behavior, and an awareness of global opportunities, while developing self-worth, high expectations, and a great respect among a diverse population of students and staff.

Students attend high school everyday at the Lakeland Regional Airport and yet have access to all of the benefits of high school (sports, clubs, etc.)

CFAA INSTRUCTOR AWARDED FAA HONOR: Walter Houghton Named Wright Brothers Master Pilot

Walter Houghton was designated a Wright Brothers Master Pilot by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The award recognizes airmen who have contributed to and maintained safe flight operations for 50 or more years. Recipients are pilots who have advanced the aviation industry for not only current generations, but future ones as well.

Sun 'n Fun commemorated FedEx's recent donation of a Boeing 727 with a dedication ceremony during the Fly-In.

The cargo plane originally arrived amidst great fanfare at the Lakeland Linder airport in January of this year, but FedEx officials received an dose of gratitude from the Central Florida Aerospace Academy and Polk State College via a dedication ceremony.

Central Florida Aerospace Academy students recently boarded a Jet Blue flight that included approximately 100 students from nine aviation high schools and colleges in New York and Florida. The flight was designed to be an educational experience highlighting the partnerships Jet Blue has formed with these aviation schools to encourage young people towards careers in the field of aviation.

Lieutenant Colonel William Brake and Colonel George Hardee of the Tuskegee Airmen (also known as the Red Tails) made a very special presentation to two Central Florida Aerospace Academy students recently.

Shortly before Sun 'n Fun's airshow, Timothy Pollock and Angel Castellano were awarded the Tuskegee Airmen Award, an honor presented to deserving cadets in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program. Jess Peterson received the award on Angel Castellano's behalf.

BEHIND THE WHEEL: Cleveland Wheels & Brakes Donates General Aviation Wheel and Brake Stand to Central Florida Aerospace Academy

Central Florida Aerospace Academy (CFAA) students now have the tool to put their shoulder to the wheel when it comes to learning the fundamental principles of a general aviation aircraft braking system, thanks to the generosity of Parker Aerospace.

Management representatives from the company's Aircraft Wheel & Brake Division met with Keith Smith, Assistant Principal at CFAA, to donate a "Cleveland Wheels & Brakes" Wheel & Brake Test stand for use at the school.
