I chose to pursue the Academy of Health during my high school career because I knew that it would open doors for me and further my career goals as a nurse. I knew that I would learn valuable information through hands on experience and a team approach. Being a part of this academy has been a rewarding experience because I have gained knowledge and confidence in the areas I am interested in. I have also benefited from meeting people and making friends that share my dedication to health care. Since joining, mine as well as other students GPA, attendance, and career goals have improved. I believe that this is because of the guidance and knowledge provided through the Academy of Health. I have learned to think like a health care professional and am well on my way to achieving my career goal as a nurse.
