Interested in specialized courses and electives related to traditional agriculture, agri-business, and agriculture science and technology? The Agri-business and Sciences Academy is right for you. Not only do students enroll in these traditional classes, the core high school classes taken by academy students would include coursework with an agri-business focus. Field trips and training in the field supplement this coursework. In addition, students receive regular visits from industry experts to supplement the academy instructors. This academy prepares students for successful application to postsecondary agriculture programs at schools such as the University of Florida, Florida Southern College, Warner University and Polk State College, where development of a bachelor's degree program in agri-business is under way.
