Emily Robinson

I chose to enroll in the Veterinary Assisting Academy at George Jenkins because I find it very interesting and rewarding to work with many different kinds of animals. Being involved in the Veterinary Assisting Academy will give me a closer look at veterinary sciences and help me determine if this is a career for me.

I believe the Veterinary Assisting Academy will be more beneficial than a regular class because it is solely devoted to veterinary science. The students enrolled in the academy will be more devoted to learning about veterinary science than the general science courses. The academy teaches students the importance of responsibility and hard work. For those who plan to work in the field of animal sciences, they will already have a background in the veterinary sciences and possibly obtain certification as a veterinary assistant.
