Students apply for entry into the Academy in the spring of their freshman year. Acceptance into the Academy is a competitive process. There are many more applications than seats available. Applications are screened by an admissions committee. Applicants are informed of the admission committee's decision promptly.

Minimum Admission Requirements

• GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Two teacher recommendations
• Recommendation from Dean of Discipline

Fresh Start Program

The Academy's Fresh Start Program provides an enrollment opportunity for students who do not meet the GPA entry requirement of 2.5. Through an application and interview process, students who demonstrate a sincere desire to improve academically may enter the program. All students are capable of success in the Academy.
