IT Academy of Lakeland Tracks

Web Design

This track is designed to enable students to pass industry certification tests and become highly employable upon graduation. Graduates will have the knowledge and skills necessary to gain immediate employment as an Information Technology Assistant, HTML Coder, Web Graphic Designer or Web Producer. This track's curriculum includes web development, design, promotion and scripting.

Students will focus on broad, transferable skills and will demonstrate an understanding of the following elements of the Web Design Industry: planning, management, finance, technical skills, underlying technology principles, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, & environmental issues.

Computer Programming

This track introduces computer programming concepts for business applications. The curriculum covers basic information processing, operating systems, hardware platforms, programming techniques, basic financial business concepts, and corporate systems.

This track will also cover computer programming concepts for business applications, interfaces for systems integration, software quality assurance, and advanced programming techniques.
