Cengage Technology Conference

Three teachers from the Polk Academy of Business & Technology at Lake Gibson High School were guest presenters at the Cengage Technology Conference held in Las Vegas in April. Jan Adams, Diane Simmers, and Brenda Collins teamed with Ernie Ivey from Polk Community College in presenting the topic “Articulation Agreements Made Easy with SAM!”

Since the focus of the conference was innovative practices and the use of technology in the classroom geared primarily for college and university staff, all other conference presenters and speakers were technology experts or professors from across the county. This team of teachers from Lake Gibson Senior is the only group from secondary education ever invited to speak at this annual event.
