What is the WE3 Expo?

Local  business and industry professionals have partnered with Polk County Schools' Workforce Education Department to create the WE3 Expo.  This collaborative effort will allow middle schools and high schools to highlight career academies and workforce program offerings throughout the county. 

Students will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss their preparation for careers in the new millennium. WE3 will feature more than 80 exhibitors. These students are the next generation of Polk County workers and you will have the opportunity to interact with them. Anticipation of this event is growing and we expect that it will benefit the community greatly.

Career Education Expo:

Nov. 1 - 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Nov. 2 - 9:00am - 2:00pm

Audience: Parents, Students, General Public, Business Partners

Cost: Free

The Career Education Expo is the perfect setting to see Polk's career education programs in action. Over 80 participating programs will be on hand to provide parents and students with a hands-on look at career programs available to middle and high school students throughout the district.

Business Partner Dinner:

Nov. 1 - 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Audience: Business and Community Partners

Cost: $35 Individual or $350 Corporate Table

Registered business and community partners are invited to visit the Career Education Showcase in the Exhibit Hall at 5:00pm followed by dinner at 6:30pm. The dinner will feature keynote speaker Kaplan Mobray and will illustrate how the community is vital in the success of Polk County's career education programs.

Career Academy Conference:

Nov. 1 - 8:00am - 2:30pm

Audience: Invited Teachers, Administrators, Counselors and Staff

Invited career academy staff will meet to discuss implementation and improvement of career academies. Breakout sessions and team planning will be the focus of this event.
